Pink Awareness Month at Terronera
As part of our ongoing commitment to health within our annual wellness program, our company is dedicated to organizing preventive campaigns and spreading awareness on various health issues that can impact our employees, business partners, and the surrounding communities. In line with the International Breast Cancer Awareness Day, and in collaboration with the World Health Organization, health institutions, and other socially responsible companies, we held a special event on October 24 to promote breast cancer awareness.
The event was organized through the combined efforts of our Health and Safety, Human Resources, Community Relations departments, and business partners SEMPENTA, DYCUSA, and SODEXO. Our focus was to raise awareness about the importance of breast cancer prevention and encourage more women to undergo early diagnosis and timely treatment to reduce their risk.
Event Highlights: The event featured a range of activities, including:
- A poster competition focused on breast cancer awareness
- A demonstration on the importance of self-examination
- A physical activation session
- A moving testimony from a breast cancer survivor
The event concluded with refreshments for all attendees and was graced by the Ejido Santiago de Pinos Board, representatives from the Municipal DIF, local residents, and employees of our company, alongside our business partners.
This event was the first of its scale involving both our project team and the broader community in Santiago de Pinos, and it was met with overwhelming support. We had a fantastic turnout, with 162 participants, including 44 of our own employees, 32 business partners, and 86 local residents. Health awareness campaigns are essential to fostering a culture of prevention, and this event was an embodiment of our commitment to the TE CUIDO philosophy. By working together, we are able to ensure the physical well-being of our workforce and the communities where we operate. This initiative reflects our core value of health and safety, and we extend our appreciation to the collaborative efforts of our departments and business partners who share our mission. Through events like this, we aim to strengthen the bonds within our community and make preventive healthcare a priority for everyone involved in our projects. Together, we are making strides toward a healthier, more informed future.
