Unity and Commitment: Terronera and Authorities Join Forces to Fight Wildfire in San Sebastián del Oeste
On Sunday, May 25, 2025, a large-scale wildfire broke out near the main access road to San Sebastián del Oeste, Jalisco, threatening both natural areas and nearby homes. In the face of this emergency, an immediate and coordinated response was launched involving the Municipal Government, the Government of the State of Jalisco, the Mexican Army, and Terronera’s emergency response team.
This joint effort stood as a powerful example of how inter-institutional collaboration is key to effectively tackling challenges that impact our communities and ecosystems. Each team brought expertise, resources, and an unwavering sense of duty to halt the fire’s advance and protect both local residents and the surrounding environment.
Terronera’s emergency brigade played a critical role in containing the blaze, acting swiftly and professionally alongside civil and military forces. Their contribution was instrumental in managing the high-risk situation and mitigating its impact.
At Terronera, we deeply appreciate the dedication of all the institutions involved. This experience reaffirms our belief that when there is a coordinated response between the company, municipal and state governments, and the Mexican Army, we can work together to protect both the community and its natural environment. This is how stronger, safer, and more resilient communities are built.
