Terronera Summer Courses 2026: Learning, Talent and Community
At Terronera Precious Metals, we believe that the development of our communities begins with people. For this reason, this summer we promoted a wide variety of courses and workshops for children, youth, and families in Santiago de Pinos, creating spaces where learning, creativity, sports, and community engagement took center stage.
Throughout these weeks, participants had the opportunity to take part in activities such as volleyball, Cantoya balloon making, mobile phone photography, chess, rope twirling, and soccer, among other initiatives designed to strengthen skills, promote values, and discover talents.
Each course represented an opportunity to learn something new, share experiences, and build connections that strengthen the social fabric of the community.
Mobile Phone Photography: Discovering New Perspectives
One of the workshops that generated the greatest enthusiasm was Mobile Phone Photography, where participants discovered that a great image does not depend on a professional camera, but rather on creativity and the ability to tell stories through a different perspective.
During the sessions, they learned basic techniques in composition, lighting, and editing, developing new ways to express their creativity and appreciate the details of their everyday surroundings. The workshop allowed them to capture moments, landscapes, and people who are part of the life and identity of their community.
Chess: Learning to Think Through Every Move
The Chess Workshop provided children and adolescents with a valuable opportunity to develop skills such as concentration, analysis, and decision-making.
Beyond the chessboard, this activity fostered values such as discipline, patience, and respect, tools that contribute to both personal development and academic performance. Each game represented a challenge to learn how to plan, anticipate scenarios, and face new challenges with confidence.
Rope Twirling: Keeping Our Identity Alive
The Rope Twirling Workshop became a space for preserving and promoting one of the most representative cultural expressions of our region.
Participants demonstrated enthusiasm and dedication while learning techniques that require coordination, practice, and perseverance. In addition to strengthening skills, this activity helped keep alive the traditions that are part of our history and cultural identity, fostering pride in our roots.
Soccer: Teamwork Beyond the Game
Soccer continues to be one of the favorite activities among children and youth in the community.
Through training sessions and sports activities, participants developed physical skills, strengthened teamwork, and practiced values such as effort, perseverance, and camaraderie. Beyond competition, the field became a space for connection, learning, and personal growth.
Cantoya Balloons: Creativity That Lights Up the Sky
The Cantoya Balloon Workshop was an experience that contributed to the preservation and strengthening of a tradition deeply rooted in many communities throughout our region.
During the workshop, participants learned techniques for balloon construction, developing manual skills, creativity, and collaborative teamwork. But beyond the technical learning, this activity became a space for community connection where children, youth, and families shared time, experiences, and emotions.
The moment of seeing the balloons rise into the sky symbolized much more than the result of a collective effort. It represented the importance of preserving our traditions, strengthening community bonds, and passing our customs on to future generations.
Building Opportunities for the Future
The Terronera Summer Courses 2026 reflect Terronera Precious Metals’ commitment to the comprehensive development of the communities where it operates. Each workshop represented an opportunity to learn, discover talents, strengthen capabilities, and create meaningful experiences for those who participated.
Through initiatives such as these, we continue to promote spaces that support education, culture, sports, and the preservation of local traditions. Because when we invest in people, we help build stronger, more engaged communities that are better prepared to take advantage of future opportunities.
