Strategies that Inspire: Chess Takes Shape in Terronera

As part of its ongoing efforts to foster the holistic development of children and adolescents in our community, Terronera hosted the Chess Workshop Course, an educational and recreational initiative that was a key component of the 2025 Summer Camps.

Over the course of several sessions, 25 participants delved into the fascinating world of chess. More than just learning the rules of the game, they explored essential values such as patience, strategic thinking, respect, and mindful decision-making. Each move on the board became a meaningful opportunity for personal growth.

The workshop culminated in a friendly tournament, where the young players showcased their newly acquired skills and celebrated their progress with excitement and pride. Beyond competition, the event was a celebration of ideas, concentration, and camaraderie.

To mark the conclusion of the course, we proudly announced the formation of the Terronera Chess Club, a space designed to nurture the seeds planted over the summer. The club aspires to become a vibrant hub for the development of logical reasoning, positive social interaction, and the nurturing of local talent, with the support of family and friends alike.

At Terronera, we believe that knowledge is a powerful tool for transformation, and that chess, more than a game, serves as a school to learn life skills.
