Planting the Future: STEAM Youth Take on Terronera’s Nursery Challenge
An educational experience rooted in environmental commitment and community impact
At Terronera, we believe meaningful change starts like a seed—small, intentional actions that, with time and care, grow into lasting impact. With this belief at heart, we recently welcomed four students from Emsad 09 COBAEJ in San Sebastián del Oeste: Emanuel Ruiz, Paloma Virgen, Nathalie Ruiz, and Ramsés Carrillo, were the enthusiastic participants in the STEAM Challenge educational program.
Their visit to our on-site nursery was more than just a field trip; it was an immersive learning experience that connected classroom knowledge with real-world environmental stewardship. Guided by our environmental team, the students explored the full plant production process, studied native species, and gained hands-on insight into the vital role reforestation plays in preserving local ecosystems.
This initiative goes beyond replanting landscapes—it’s about cultivating environmental responsibility, empowering youth to take active roles in their communities, and promoting biodiversity in a tangible way. By combining science, technology, and a passion for sustainability, these young participants aren’t just planting trees, they’re planting ideas, awareness, and hope.
At Terronera, we’re proud to support programs that inspire the next generation of environmental leaders. Their enthusiasm reminds us that when young people connect with nature, they help nurture a greener, more resilient future for all.
