Dancing on Tiptoes
As part of the educational and cultural initiatives supported in the region, a Classical Ballet Workshop was held in the municipality of San Sebastián del Oeste. This initiative brought together girls from Santiago de Pinos, San Sebastián del Oeste, and La Estancia de Landeros, ages 3 to 12, creating a space dedicated to art, discipline, and creative expression while contributing to the well-being and development of local communities.
The workshop began on August 10, and throughout the sessions participants learned the fundamentals of classical ballet. Beyond developing artistic skills, the girls strengthened important values such as discipline, coordination, flexibility, concentration, teamwork, friendship, and responsibility. Each class provided an opportunity for personal and collective growth, helping build confidence and encouraging a love for the arts from an early age.
The most anticipated moment came on December 16, when a community festival was held in the main square of San Sebastián del Oeste. During this special event, the group Mineral de Ensueño presented a performance for families and community members, proudly showcasing the skills developed throughout the workshop. The square filled with excitement, pride, and applause as the girls celebrated months of dedication and effort.
Initiatives such as this workshop reflect an ongoing commitment to supporting community development and creating opportunities for children and families in the region. By promoting access to cultural and educational activities, these programs help strengthen community ties and contribute to the social well-being that underpins sustainable and responsible operations.
“When art is nurtured from the heart, it blossoms into dreams that inspire an entire community.”
